Which model is appropriate for me? Tell me more about each Zike model.

The Hotshot is a single bottom bracket stepper Zike. It is geared lower for younger children, 5 to 8. The Hotshot has 9" solid front and rear tires, adjustable handlebars and a quick release for folding the handlebars. The weight limit is 100 lbs (45 kg).

The Flyby is a double bottom bracket stepper Zike. It is geared for children, 8 to 12. The Flyby has 9" solid front and rear tires, adjustable handlebars and a quick release for folding the handlebars. The weight limit is 120 lbs (54 kg).

The Slingshot is a double bottom bracket stepper Zike. It is geared for children, 10 and up. The Slingshot has 10" air front and rear tires, adjustable handlebars and a quick release for folding the handlebars. The weight limit is 150 lbs (68 kg).

The Saber is a 7-speed double bottom bracket stepper hybrid scooter. It is geared for children, 12 and up. The Saber has a 20" front tire and a 16" rear tire. The weight limit is 200 lbs (91 kg).

 

Are there adult models?

Currently all Zike models are designed for children, however the Saber has a weight limit of 200 lbs (91 kg) and is large enough to support adults 200 pounds or lower. The Hotshot and Flyby look very similar. What is the difference?

The Hotshot is designed for shorter and ligher people. The Flyby is for older and heavier kids, as its weight limit is 20 pounds heavier for taller, older riders. Also the Hotshot does not have a front brake system, while the Flyby does.

 

Can I ride a zike uphill?

The Hotshot, Flyby, and Slingshot can make it up short hills; the Saber has seven speeds and can easily drop to first gear for long, steep hills. Also, all future models will be geared for easy transitions up hills.
